pasteur vincentThe staff of Vincent International Ministries (VIM) is pleased and proud to launch its internet site that, henceforth, will serve to propagate its works in the evangelical sector. This site will be dedicated essentially to evangelization and education of believers and non-believers.

VIM believes that evangelization is not only a priority, it is an absolute obligation. We firmly believe that any Christian aware of his responsibilities will admit that positive initiatives must be multiplied thereby earmarking a greater preaching of the gospel of Christ. The objective of the Christian is not only to work for the salvation of his soul, but also, to share the good news of the gospel with others to bring light, the truth and eternal life to them.

For almost two thousand years, the servants of Christ have been preaching the gospel. However, to date, the gospel is not being preached enough. Evangelization of the world is far from being realized. Jesus said to his disciples, “"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

Today, thanks to technological and scientific progress, evangelization is happening through the radio, television and the internet. Thus, those new technological advancements contribute largely to a greater and wider propagation of the gospel throughout this planet. This is one of the major justifications for the creation of this site.

Nevertheless, we must also admit that millions of persons do not have access to the internet. In Haiti for example, around 30% of educated people have access to this means of communication. Moreover, illiteracy remains a major problem. More than 50% of the population do not know how to read and write. It is a major handicap. In any event, we must admit that millions of people do not have access to the internet. To this must be added a very serious problem that of illiteracy. Thus, the best way to reach out to these and other people living in the rest of the world is door-to-door canvassing.

In view to contribute toward diminishing this unenlightened situation, VIM proposes to establish training and education programs in cooperation with local schools and the community at-large. Notwithstanding the major illiteracy problem, VIM will not abandon its main task of propagating the Gospel. Thus, VIM also proposes to publish Biblical Studies in the form of cassettes, CDs, DVDs and brochures. A question and answer format will be integrated in the publications as to the Word of God so that our listeners, viewers and readers can better understand God’s Plan for humanity. Our trilingual publications will be distributed everywhere, especially the remote areas.

Ours is an ambitious project formulated by a group of thinking and conscious Christians aware of their respective responsibilities, and who firmly believe that with the help of the living God who provides all, we shall succeed in making it a reality. Our faith and hope in God compel us to believe that this project is not too big to implement.
